Zipper-type door lock line
Structure and principle
It usually consists of two interwoven flexible chains or strips and a matching pull tab. When the pull tab moves along the chain or strip, it can engage or separate the two chains or strips, thus allowing the door to open and close. This structure is similar to the zippers we commonly see on clothing, but it is larger and stronger, suitable for door applications.
Application scenarios
Some simple doors, such as certain small storage cabinet doors and pet cage doors, sometimes use zipper-type door lock lines. It is easy to operate, low cost, and suitable for small doors that do not have high security requirements and have a high frequency of opening and closing.
Wire lock line
Structure and principle
It generally consists of one or more steel wires, which have high strength and toughness. One end of the wire is connected to the door's lock or handle, while the other end is connected to the door frame or another fixed position. By pulling the wire, it can drive the internal mechanical structure of the lock, achieving unlocking, locking, or keeping the door closed.
Application scenarios
This type of wire lock line is often seen on some old wooden doors. It can be installed discreetly inside the door without affecting its appearance, while effectively transmitting pulling force to achieve remote control, such as connecting the wire lock line from one side of the door to the latch on the other side, allowing for unlocking from indoors.
Nylon rope lock line
Structure and principle
It uses nylon material as the main body; nylon ropes have good wear resistance, flexibility, and strength. Its working principle is similar to that of the wire lock line, with one end connected to the door's moving parts and the other end connected to a fixed point, controlling the door's opening, closing, and locking by pulling the nylon rope.
Application scenarios
It is commonly used in doors that require lightweight and flexible operation, such as some lightweight aluminum alloy doors and partition doors. The nylon rope lock line is relatively lightweight, does not create excessive resistance to the door's movement, and is also relatively economical.
